Performs necropsy and/or histology tasks on a variety of laboratory animals in compliance with the appropriate SOPs, GLPs, and regulatory guidelines$? Monitors animal health and welfare in compliance with the Animal Health and Welfare Act and help maintain facilities for AAALAC compliance $$A. Duties and Responsibilities:$? trim wet tissues$? Embed tissues into paraffin$? Performs duties of necropsy and/or histology$? Performs necropsy and/or histology study responsibilities$? Cross-trained in both necropsy and histology$? May performs in the specialty areas (e.g. neurotoxicity, PCR collection, electron microscopy and OCT tissue preparation procedures, perfusion of small and large animals, special stains, plastic embedding, training, histopathology data/report review, or other specialty duties)$?
